Another new beginning today.

A new beginning in new media. I guess we'll see.

This is a new project doing portraits for Renaissance Fair characters. They  are a great group of people! It tickles me that this nun looks as if she might have gotten into the communion wine. :)

All that is left now is some blending and adding details. These babies have been a joy.

Today I am starting the second twin. This is graphite on 11" x 14' Bristol 100 lb., for those of you who have asked. This client showed her proofs to family, and I want you to know prints are always available. I think she did finish quite a bit of her Christmas list from the work she commissioned by being able to order prints from from the original.

11x14 Graphite on Strathmore Bristol 100 lb.
I will set this on my easel and just look at it from different angles now, The white on the ear is from graphite shine cause by very dark pencil. By in the morning, it will look different to me from letting my brain and eyes rest. I also check by viewing the work in a mirror. I think it gives me the ability to somewhat see what others see.

This has been a joy to do. The client has commissioned another work of the other twin. I am looking forward to it!

This is a work in progress. I love babies!

I love watching people. Old people, young people, proper people, funky people. How could anyone not be fascinated. I was drinking coffee in the mall, something that is hard for me to do, but I was pushing myself to be in public, when I saw this elderly couple walking holding hands. He dropped a paper, she picked it up. She smiled as they passed furry balls of excitement in the pet store window, he growled and laughed. I don't know anything about them, but I know it was a good day. Anyway, here are a few of the people I have done lately. After years of no art, it has been a joy working again.
